Absolutely a must do course for everyone….whether you want to be a farmer or not.​

I think the content and the flow is just right and very relevant for the beginners. All the experts are excellent teachers. Specially Narendra’s style of narration is extremely good and makes a deep impact.

The holistic approach - starting from human evolution, our relationship with environment and food nutrition - and then zooming in. I also like the economic sensitization aspects.

I liked the informal way the lectures were delivered and the way all questions and views were open for discussion. This created an atmosphere of trust where no question is insignificant. This is a very important aspect of learning because the moment we stifle curiosity and questions we stop learning. Fortunately the course encouraged open discussions.
Also I liked that the course did not give out any formulaic prescriptions for success but stressed the need to chart ones path using the scientific approach and appropriate technology. The is very much the foundation of all endeavors and is very much applicable to farming.
I loved that the faculty were all knowledgeable and passionate about their fields and were ones who had hands on experience about what they were talking about. This experience and expertise was very much apparent in the way the lectures were delivered by the faculty.
I loved the way the course took us on the journey staring from nutrition and safe food, history of agriculture, current agriculture and so on ending at crop planning. This was a very thoughtfully designed learning journey.
I would say the course encouraged ways to think to solve a problem instead of just panning "one size fits all" solutions. The course always stressed the fact that all solutions are unique to ones own conditions. As said by Narendra sir "Sheti hi kahi adanyache kaam nahi" :-)
I think this is a nice foundation for someone who is looking for a scientific foray into agriculture. What I found is that the course made me aware that I do not have to remember all the technical details but just have to be aware, observe and follow the scientific approach to find answers which will be suitable for my unique conditions.
I loved the philosophical connections pointed out in the course and would have loved to listen to more :-)
The course has provided me with a very holistic view of "Why farming". We have just dipped our toe into this ocean of knowledge and am very much looking forward to connecting with the network of like minded individuals who are part of the Suhasta alumni and continuing my learning.
Lastly I"ll always remember Saveji's quote "utpadan navhe he srujan aahe" which Narendra Sir mentioned in the class.
